We had plenty of room. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Front burner on stove didn't work but my brother in law fixed it..overall everything was great!!

The house was perfect for our family and friends will rent in the future only issue we had was A/C problems the first night but was quickly resolved the next morning thks for memories

The House itself was very nice nice and spacious. First day we had problems with the shower head not working, one of the eyes on the stove shorted out and could not be fixed, the a/c bottom unit stopped cooling the first night and didn't get fixed until the next evening. Read the no refund clause

The vacation was great. We had no problems. Maintenance had to show up a few times, but it was normal maintenance requests, nothing major. Everyone was kind and respectful. If God makes a way, we will definitely be back.

This place was amazing! The perfect short walk to beach front! The perfect short drive to offload on paid entry! The pictures of the rooms do not do justice because they are huge and have so much space! Linens were available to be laid out in each room and for the amount of people that can stay there was plenty of gathering space and fridge space! We loved it and will definitely consider renting again!!

I have to say that Bluewater Resort Rentals was very accommodating to us. Last year our trip was cancelled due to a hurricane and they gave us credit towards our next rental. This year we were able to reschedule without any issue. We even had to adjust our stay dates several weeks out and they did it without any issue or charges.

We will definitely use Bluewater Resort Rentals again in the future.

We've been coming to Surfside for our family's reunion for the past 29 years. We've stayed at Playa Del Oro on a number of occasions, and we have always been satisfied. This year was no exception. We'll be back next year for our 30th year.

Plenty of room for everyone & everything worked

Know this first. This will be a mixed review of both positives and negative with a lean toward the negative. Positives; great location with private access to beach, outside shower, huge space with area upstairs and down for gathering, large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, linens and towels included and the office personnel were friendly . Negatives; cockroaches-dead live and large. You must pick up your linens at the resort office and place on beds yourself. Instructions for check out are to replace beds the way you found them. We found trash and food under a couple of bedspreads, trash in a wine cooler, and trash in several not so visible spaces. All indicating this place was not cleaned at all. Spit checked at best. We ended up buying some personal bedspreads because they were so disgusting. The table in the kitchen were sticky although I will admit no amount of cleaning was able to rectify that. They just need different table tops. Wifi is in my opinion nearly non present so don’t go thinking you’re going to be able to stream and the likes. The overwalk to the beach is in dire need of replacement (had to pull splinters from my 8yo hands twice) and the entrance to it has tons of stickers so be mindful to wear something to cover your feet as well(splinter concerns aside). All in all we had a good time and enjoyed our stay but were dissatisfied with the cleanliness overall as there are sign and notes about $50 charges and cleaning fees for not adhering to certain policies that were clearly missed by the “cleaning service” prior to our arrival making it feel as our responsibility to do the job so as not to be charged those fees. We’ve stayed at many places with similar policies but were happy to put things back to the conditions we found them because they were very clean and tidy. Due to these issues we decided to look elsewhere for our trips to Surfside that we’ve taken annually over the New Year for years.

The three sisters along with our spouses, children and grand children had the room we needed and perfect house to enjoy a week at Surfside. We have been going there over 30 years and our family gets to plug back in with each other. Cousins spend the week enjoying the beach and the well appointed Playa helped us accomplish a perfect week.

Not sure when the house was updated, but it needs some attention...several holes in walls. One of the showers was missing a shower head, but was repaired within a day or my call. We always enjoy Surfside and this year was no exception.

It was an amazing house with lots of open space.

Place is in dire need of a redo!
Rat droppings in kitchen cabinets; electrical outlets not working in upstairs bathrooms, kitchen; dead roaches around; dining room seat chair not attached, nephew pulled himself up to table and cut his finger when the seat came off; decking on walkway to the beach loose and some completely not attached; same duct tape on stair treads that I put there at my stay last year; kitchen dining room tables very stickey, couldn't remove the stickiness; old crackers under bed upstairs; A/C register missing in upstairs bedroom; many dishes missing from last year.
Note, will never stay here again.

We loved the house. It was updated, clean and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect right on the beach with plenty of parking. We loved it so much we booked it for next summer

Prom weekend for 28 kids.

Our stay was awesome! The house was in a great location, easy to get to. The house was very large and very nice (it looked exactly as shown on the website.) Really the only problem we encountered was the grill was in horrible condition so we went and bought one and left if for the next guests. Other than that, we would definitely rent again!

We had a group of 32 so we were at max capacity, and there was still plenty of room for everyone to be! Appliances were top notch and house and beach were clean. We had to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags so be prepared for that if you are planning to stay. Also the grill was rusted out but we ask the employees for a new one and they brought one right away! Highly recommend this house!!

The rental experience was great. The check in was easy and we had a great time. The air conditioner was working properly and when we called they sent someone over right away and got it fixed. Overall the experience was great.

We are wondering how much they clean. They also require a full week stay.
All in all, the houses are big for large gatherings, right on the water, with a nice Texas beach. We will come back again and recommend it to our friends and family.

We held our Family Reunion at the Playa del Oro & it was perfect!!! It was very spacious & the rooms was accommodating to everyone that stayed in the beach house. All appliances were in working conditions, as well as the bar-b-que pits.
The wi-fi was very slow, which didn't go to well w/the younger kids/preteens 0:)
We are planning our 2017 return!!!

This is the second time we have stayed in this property. Two years ago we stayed here and liked it so much we came back this year. We had 16 adults and 10 kids from 15 years to 4 years. We used the grill several times, ordered pizza once, and ate at the Red Snapper once. We are hoping to go back in two years to the same property. The only negative thing was the condition of the beach. The city should do more to clean up the trash and driftwood.

Very enjoyable weekend.

We would love to return next summer but the dishwashers MUST be replaced and there needs to be a thorough cleaning.

Awesome location and home

Overall we were happy with the time we spent in Surfside Beach and at Playa del Oro. I do need to mention that the air conditioning upstairs was not working properly and the house had a mildew odor.

Several of my friends and family rented the house for a weekend and had a spectacular time! 10 bedrooms!! 6 bathroom!!! Two refrigerators, two dining tables, enough space for everyone and every thing you can imagine! Pure luxury in a beach house. You will not be sorry you rented this house. Great walkway across the dune onto the beach. Perfect view. I'd like to spend a week next time, it is such a perfect house it was hard to leave.

We appreciate the improvements made in the house. It was clean and in good repair.

We had a great family vacation there for 24 people; 16 adults and 8 children. We had plenty of room. The only complaints I have are there was no ice maker and the pots and pans need replacing. Also, WiFi would have been nice. Other than that, the location was great. We would love to come back and stay in the same property.

We had a large group coming down for some time at the beach, and this house was perfect for us! It was a great house with everything we needed, and we couldn't have asked for a better location!

Always fun to spend time at Surfside Beach. We do a family gathering once a year. Lots of different size homes available through this rental company.

My family and I have been coming to Surfside since I was a little kid-- we would stay at Gables, Beach Buggy, Meegin (sp?), Two Sisters...the list goes on and on. Those houses have since swept away, but we still come down here every year, twice if we can. Now it is a reunion of sorts of our old friends-- we act like we are young again and have a great time doing it! Thank you for putting up with our noise and letting us be kid-free kids, just for a weekend! ;-)

Enjoyed 20 family members over Thanksgiving. The house was a nice fit for all of us. and the weather was perfect!

Had wanted to do this for a long time and finally did it mostly because our daughter was getting married. Had a great time and the place was excellent

We have stayed in this house before and we loved it.

Our stay from Fri-Mon was great as usual. Great location, and pretty clean. The TV broke on us on the first night, the water was yellowish, and the sinks drained very slowly. I am not sure if all the houses were like this, but it was not something that slowed our great time. Our family/friends of 24 had a great time!

Great place to share family time and have enough room for everyone to have their own space. Everyone can do what they enjoy from fishing, kayaking, walking on the beach or building sand castles here. We look forward to this time every year and being close to home is great for those who can't take the week off to come and go.

manager was very helpful had an accident due to unforseen circumstances and manager did everthing to help with problem thumbs up
